Hi! My name is Alexa Mackintosh and I’m in my early twenties. The purpose of this blog is to educate (and sometimes entertain) writers and to suggest and review YA (Young Adult) and Historical fiction novels for avid readers.

I’m relatively new to the blogging world but ready for a new challenge.  Writing is my hobby and passion.  I’d write every day, eight hours straight if I could, but it turns out you have to make money to survive in reality, and last I checked writers don’t typically make the salaries of doctors and lawyers. I’m a little eccentric, but I’m fine with that. Everything I write in this blog comes from what I’ve learned as a writer over the last eight years and as a bookaholic.  This is my official author bio:

Alexa Mackintosh is a book dragon at heart.  She is the author of Black Forest, self-published at age fifteen, followed by its sequel Hollow Dreams.  When she’s not starstruck over a fictitious guy she found in the pages of her favorite novels, she is destroying worlds or trying to be a normal, real person.  She also owns 1/56^th of a star.  She currently lives in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.  For more information about the author and books, visit www.alexamackintosh.com.
